Micro Labs and IMA Bengaluru Organise Walkathon to Mark World Environment Day 2026

The event was presided over by Dr Bharath Raju, President, IMA Bengaluru, and Dr Pradeep Kumar K.N., Honorary Secretary, IMA Bengaluru. More than 200 participants, including doctors, healthcare professionals, and students from the Government College of Nursing, joined the initiative.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Bharath Raju, President, IMA Bengaluru, said, “As medical professionals, we witness every day the close connection between environmental health and human well-being. Preserving nature is not just an ecological responsibility but a public health imperative. Every step we take towards protecting our environment contributes to healthier communities and future generations.”

Highlighting the need for collective action, Dr Pradeep Kumar K.N., Honorary Secretary, IMA Bengaluru, added, “Bengaluru was once celebrated as India’s Garden City. It is our responsibility to restore and preserve that legacy by planting more trees, protecting our green spaces, and encouraging sustainable practices across the city.”
